Repair & Overhaul Service Request
eBike Motor Repair is the U.S. headquarters for advanced diagnostic, repair, overhaul, and upgrade services for e-bike drive systems.
To request service, please complete and submit the form below.
Before You Send Your Motor
Every motor we receive is individually inspected and evaluated after disassembly. Because these systems operate under highly variable real-world riding conditions, it is not always possible to fully determine the extent of wear, internal damage, or repairability until the motor is opened and tested.
While the vast majority of repairs are successful, some conditions may only become fully detectable once the motor is reinstalled in the bicycle under rider load conditions. Certain issues — particularly involving resonance, planetary gears, electronics, frame interaction, or load-dependent behaviors — may not always be fully reproducible during bench testing alone.
In rare cases, additional troubleshooting, review, or return evaluation may be necessary. Our team will always communicate findings and available options clearly throughout the process.
Our goal is to provide a cost-effective alternative to full motor replacement whenever practical.
Motor Removal
You may remove the motor yourself or have a local bike shop assist.
Please remove as many external parts and accessories as reasonably possible before shipping.
Removal tools, if needed, are available here:

Important – Customer-Supplied Hardware
Pedal arms, sprockets, chainrings, mounting hardware, wire harnesses, and other attached components are considered customer-supplied items.
While we understand some parts may be difficult to remove, any items left attached are left at the customer’s own risk. eBike Motor Repair is not liable for missing, damaged, improperly installed, or improperly torqued customer-supplied components.
Before removal, we strongly recommend taking photos of all plug and wire configurations to simplify reinstallation later.
Final Installation Responsibility
After the motor is reinstalled into the bicycle, all drivetrain and mounting components must be properly inspected and torqued to manufacturer specification before riding.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- crank arms
- pedals
- chainrings
- chainring bolts
- mounting hardware
- drivetrain hardware
If any customer-supplied parts are temporarily installed during bench testing, this does not constitute final installation or torque verification.
Final installation and safety inspection remain the responsibility of the installer.
